The History of Lamborghini
The Carmaker Lamborghini, whose car wants almost every man in the world, was founded in 1962 by Italian man Ferruccio Lamborghini in Centa, province of Ferrara. Company Lamborghini Trattori S.p.A. was originally focused on the production of tractors, year 1948. In 1959 Ferruccio expanded manufacture about the air conditioning. In 1962 he laid the foundation for today's business - a company named Automobili Lamborghini. As a successful businessman he owned a Maserati and Ferrari with whom he was never completely satisfied.
There are multiple versions of story about the company establishment. The basis of most is the dispute between Enzo Ferrari and Lamborghinim, after which Ferrucio decided to produce his own sports cars and compete the Ferraris. According to the Lamborghini's son was the dispute at the Ferrari's factory, Lamborghini went here to complain about the quality of the clutch in his Ferrari 250GT. According to the Lamborghini's son was the dispute at the Ferrari's factory, Lamborghini went here to complain about the quality of the clutch in his Ferrari 250GT. Enzo Ferrari reacted angrily to the complaint and said that Lamborghini can drive a tractor than car. Lamborghini went back to their factory and found that the supplier of connectors is the same company that supplies parts for the tractors.
Lamborghini has decided that its cars should propel V12 engine. To engine designing was invited the talented young designer Giotto Bizzarini who previously worked on engines for Ferrari. The engine had 4 cams lifting 2 big bore valves in each cylinder. The engine has an astounding 350 horsepower. Car for this engine was designed by Scaglione-Touring company. The 350GTV prototype has been revealed on the Turin Motor Show. First year of serial production Lamborghini sold 130 350GTs. Ferrucio, born in the sign of bull decided that his company will have a bull as brand.
Another successfull model was the 400GT. Sales of both models ensures funds for the company funds to develop the revolutionary car - Lamborghini Miura, 1965. Miura was the first Lamborghini's real sports car. In 1967 was sold 111 Miura cars. The company ranks among the very successful manufacturer of expensive sports cars.
In 1971 the world was shocked by a revolutionary car Lamborghini Countach. Lamborghini has as a first on the whole world the up opening doors, which became the hallmark of all subsequent cars. Countach had by the sides a massive air inlet and a powerful 4 litres engine.
Next year, however, become very firm for losses. Import of tractors into South America dropped and the financing of the production's expansion capacity nearly brought the company into bankruptcy. Ferrucio had to sell his share of tractor manufacture to Fiat. Lamborghini tractors are currently produced by the company Same Deutz-Fahr to date. Sales of Countach kept the company in the black numbers. The oil crisis in the seventies with a two-year waiting list and eager customers and problems with financing of production and delivery of parts in 1978 led to its bankruptcy.
Italian court was in 1980 charged with finding a new owner. Mimrana Patrick, the Swiss-based company was selected to own the company until 1987. Surprise was the sale to Chrysler. Under his guidance was developed a successor to the Countach cars - the Lamborghini Diablo - thanks to Diablo company returned to the top.
Chrysler, which, however, had later also financial problems, was forced to sell the brand to Indonesian financial company Megatech. Megatech sold it in 1998 to the current owner - Audi.
The History of Bugatti
Bugatti was founded by Ettore Bugatti in Molsheim, France (Ettore was born in Itali) originally as a manufacturer of high performance cars. His father Carlo Bugatti was an artist, sculptor and artistic carpenter. In 1897 Ettore began his training at the bicycle manufacturer Prinetti and Stucchi.
Bugatti was known both for the level of detail of its engineering in its automobiles, and for the artistic way in which the designs were executed, given the artistic nature of Ettore's family. Bugatti's cars were as much works of art as they were mechanical creations.
Only a few examples of each of Ettore Bugatti's vehicles were ever produced, the most famous being the Type 35 Grand Prix cars, the Royale, the Type 57 Atlantic and the Type 55 sports car. On 2 January 2009, it was revealed that a rare 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atlantic had been found in the garage of a deceased surgeon in England. Only 17 of this model were made, all by hand.
Italian entrepreneur Romano Artioli acquired the famous Bugatti name in 1987, and established Bugatti Automobili SpA. The new company built a factory designed by the architect Giampaolo Benedini in Campogalliano, Italy, a town near Modena, home to other performance-car manufacturers De Tomaso, Ferrari, Pagani and Maserati.
By 1989 the plans for the new Bugatti revival were presented by Paolo Stanzani and Marcello Gandini, famous designers of the Lamborghini Miura and Countach. The first completed car was labelled the Bugatti EB110 GT, advertised as the most technically advanced sports car ever produced.
On 27 August 1993, through his holding company, ACBN Holdings S.A. of Luxembourg, Romano Artioli purchased the Lotus car company from General Motors. The acquisition brought together two of the greatest historical names in automotive racing, and plans were made for listing the company's shares on international stock exchanges.
Volkswagen AG purchased the rights to produce cars under the Bugatti marque in 1998. They commissioned ItalDesign to produce the Bugatti EB118 concept, a touring saloon (sedan) and the first W-configuration 18-cylinder engine in any passenger vehicle, at the Paris Auto Show.
In 1999, the Bugatti EB 218 concept was introduced at the Geneva Auto Show; later that year the Bugatti 18/3 Chiron was introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA). At the Tokyo Motor Show, the EB 218 reappeared, and the Bugatti EB 16.4 Veyron was presented as the first incarnation of what was to be a production road car.
